Jr. Interior Designer
We are expanding our agency, and therefore, looking for a Junior Designer eager to join our creative team and help grow our business. The ideal individual should be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities across a diverse range of projects with an eye for detail and a passion for excellence. You must be a problem-solver and an ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative. A love of design, music, art, travel, literature, hand-crafted cocktails, and dogs a must.
What You'll Do
This candidate should be able to collaborate seamlessly with the other designers, contractors, and fabricators on multiple projects. You will be responsible for supporting the design process through material and furniture sourcing and specification, assisting with custom furniture design, visual research, mood board creation, and graphic and visual presentations. Additional responsibilities include:

Taking measurements on site and producing floor plans and site elevations in AutoCAD

Gathering detailed information and quotes for preparation of accurate design proposals to clients

Developing long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms, and vendors.
Minimum Requirements

Two to three years of full‐time experience working on residential and/or commercial projects in an Interior Design firm

A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related creative field

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Excellent 2D drawing and/or rendering ability a plus

Working knowledge of project management software (we use Ivy)

Knowledgeable and experienced working with local and national fabricators and furniture/lighting vendors/showrooms

Strong creative design portfolio as well as strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills a must
-
Reliable car and valid driver’s license

Own a computer

Must live in or near Los Angeles to accommodate project sites and local vendors
Hours & Pay
This is a contract position to start, but the goal is to transition the role into a fulltime employee with paid leave, health insurance and benefits.

40-45 hours/week. Pay is highly competitive and based on experience.
