Designed for a television writer and producer, Writers Retreat reimagines the creative office as a boutique hotel-like sanctuary. Night Palm used music, mood, vintage furniture and layered materials to create an environment where writers and collaborators could feel comfortable, inspired and connected throughout the working day.

THE DESIGN STORY
Writers Retreat was conceived as an antidote to the cold, anonymous office. The client wanted a place where creative work could happen with the comfort and emotional depth of a beautiful home. Night Palm responded by imagining a boutique hotel-like sanctuary—professional enough to support collaboration, yet intimate enough to encourage the vulnerability and focus that writing requires.
The design draws from 1970s interiors through warm woods, enveloping color, vintage silhouettes and sculptural lighting.
