Originally commissioned to create an Old Hollywood-inspired glam room and adjoining bath, Night Palm’s work expanded to include a screening room for an Oscar-winning filmmaker. The goal was to create a sophisticated, multifunctional interior that supported private screenings without allowing technology to dominate the experience of the room.

THE DESIGN STORY
Cinema Project grew from an Old Hollywood-inspired glam room and bath into a larger study of how cinematic spaces can function at home. When Night Palm was asked to redesign the screening room, the existing space offered little more than white walls between an oversized stone fireplace and glass doors opening to the pool. The challenge was to support serious film viewing while avoiding the visual language of a conventional home theater.
