As we continue to expand our studio, we are looking for several highly creative individuals to join our team. The ideal individual should be an ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative, be highly organized and thoughtful and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day/week.
Design Assistant
Designer
What You'll Do

Manage Owner/Head Designer's calendar, travel and regularly schedule project and client meetings

Assisting the creative team with site measurements and photography

Help with new vendor research and coordination
-
Help organize design boards and presentations for meetings

Take notes during internal and client meetings
-
Inspect incoming orders and organize and return products/samples
-
Organize the studio and order supplies as needed

Assist on installation days and photography shoots
Minimum Requirements
-
1-3 years as an executive assistant in a creative environment
-
Proficient in Google or Microsoft office software
-
Reliable car and valid driver’s license
-
Own a laptop computer
-
Must live in or near Los Angeles to accommodate project sites and local vendors
Nice to Have
-
Experience in an interior design, architecture or similar creative agency

Project management software (we use Houzz)
-
Sketch-Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other 3D/rendering skills
What You'll Do
The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate easily with the Night Palm design team, contractors, architects and fabricators on multiple, high-end design projects. You will be responsible for supporting the design process through:

Producing full construction sets and designs for both new construction and renovation projects (floor plans, site elevations and cabinet drawings in AutoCAD)

Material Selections

Assisting in custom furniture design (AutoCAD)

Gathering detailed information and quotes for preparation of accurate design proposals to clients

Developing long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms, and vendors.
Minimum Requirements
-
Three years of full‐time experience working on residential and commercial projects in an Interior Design firm

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD a must. (Sketch-Up or 3D/rendering skills a plus)

Working knowledge of project management software (we use Houzz Pro)

Knowledgable and experience working with local and national fabricators and furniture/lighting dealers and showrooms

Strong creative design portfolio as well as strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills a must
-
Reliable car and valid driver’s license

Own a computer
-
Must live in Los Angeles to accommodate project sites and local vendors
-
Some travel may be required
