Job Type: Freelance / Part to Full-Time

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

LA interior design firm, Night Palm, is expanding its design team and needs a part or full-time Project Manager to oversee, coordinate and manage multiple design projects in LA and San Francisco including client interaction, construction oversight and deliveries.

The ideal candidate will work directly with our Principals/Owners out of our LA office on current and new high-end residential and commercial projects for clients in the sports, entertainment, fashion, and music industries. We are a small, boutique creative firm, growing rapidly, and thus a willingness to wear multiple hats is required and expectations include being involved in all facets of the project - big and small.

You must be well organized, motivated, self-starting and creative. Preferably with several years of work experience within a design firm or similar creative field. Additionally, you must live in the Los Angeles area, have a car (so you can visit job sites, vendors, and fabricators) and be willing to travel to San Francisco (for the day).


  • 1-2 years residential interior design experience with experience in all phases of residential design and construction

  • Define, monitor, and maintain control of the scope of work and services for the project including project schedule and work plan

  • Understanding of project financial management and contract administration including project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling

  • Use of project management tools and techniques to assist the team like drawings list, meeting minutes, project update logs, Gantt charts, etc.

  • Review shop drawings, material samples, and CD’s for conformance with design

  • Keep track and oversee all deliveries

  • Act as the main coordinator of communication between the client, contractor, and Night Palm, ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and management of business issues including contracts and additional services

  • Site administration, visits, meetings, documentation of site progress & condition

  • Basic project management software skills (Ivy is a plus)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • AutoCad, Sketchup, Photoshop skills added benefit
